Biography

William Chisholm is a member of Clan Chisholm.

William was the second son of Roderick Chisholm, 21st The Chisholm, by his wife Elizabeth MacDonnell. He married firstly to Janet Mackintosh on 11 Dec 1746 in Inverness, Scotland. After her death, he married the much younger Katherine Baillie in 1775.

William was a doctor by trade. He was the Provost of Inverness in 1773-1776 and again in 1779-1782.^[1]
