Arthur was born in 1726. He was the 2nd son of Sir Hugh Acland, M.P., 6th Baronet, and Cicely Wroth.
He married Elizabeth Oxenham of Devon. They had issue, including:
They lived at Fairfield, Stogursey, Somerset, which he had inherited from Peregrine Palmer on his death in 1762. Peregrine had inherited it from Elizabeth (Wroth) Palmer in 1737, who inherited it from her husband, Peregrine's brother Thomas in 1717. Elizabeth was the sister of Arthur's mother, Cicely.
He passed away in 1771.
The Peregrine Palmer who died in 1762 was this one, a son of Nathaniel Palmer and grandson of the original Peregrine Palmer MP.
The "uncle's brother" line at Wikipedia may be accurate (even though barring fathers, it usually just means the same as "uncle"). Peregrine II's brother Thomas married Elizabeth Wroth, Cicely's sister. So "uncle" really means "husband of aunt" here. By the by, Cicely and Elizabeth's father, Thomas was Peregrine's cousin, if you like a bit of consanguinity.
