Catherine Bookwalter was born about 1807 in Maryland.

Notes
A death record for her daughter, Maria Gates, (1834 - 1907) gives her mother’s name as Catherine Bookwalter.[9] A death record for a son, George Brumbaugh, (1840 - 1932) gives his mother’s name as Catherine Bookwaller.[10]
