Robert was born in 1843. He immigrated to Halifax in 1866. His parents are unknown. He married Margery Sinclair in 1869 and they moved to Windsor, Ontario where he had a job waiting at Hiram Walker ... they had one son. Both are buried in Windsor, Ont.
