Lorene Isabell Long passed away on May 19, 2007, in Vancouver, Washington, at the age of 86. She was born in Guthrie, Oklahoma, on December 25, 1920.

Lorene and her husband, Philip, were married for almost 59 years, since June 12, 1948. They lived in Vancouver since 1962. She worked with her husband in real estate and property management until their retirement.

Lorene has been active in their church, teaching children and playing piano, accordion, and organ. She brought joy to others playing music with her husband monthly at the Vancouver Mall Retirement Center until her death. Lorene was a beloved wife, wonderful mother, and well-liked by everyone she met.

Lorene was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Florence Holman; her sisters, Nellie Dotson, Cleo Howell, Madge Winslow-Warwick; and brother, Virgil Holman.

She is survived by her husband, Philip Long; their children, Stephen Long, Kenneth Long, Brenda Langston, and Nadine Pitchlynn; her 11 grandchildren, Lori, Darrell, Brad, Shanna, Rebecca, James, Ben, Tom, Jeremy, Rachel, and Jonathan; and eight great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Andrew, Michael, Nathon, Austin, Alex, Kelly Ann, and Kaylee Jade Lorene.

A graveside service will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday, May 25, 2007, at Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 1101 NE 112th Ave., Vancouver, WA. Then, a celebration of her life will be held at 1:00pm at the Peoples Church, 6801 East Mill Plain Blvd., Vancouver, WA.
