Biography

John was born ca. 1847 in Switzerland.^[1]

His first wife was named Mary. She died in 1890. He subsequently married Susanna Tschabold.^[2]

He and Mary were living in West Turn, Lewis County, New York at the time of the 1880 Census. No children were listed in their household.^[3] John remained in West Turin, New York after Mary died. He and his second wife, Susanna, were living there at the time of the 1892 New York Census.^[1]

John died on 8 Oct 1906 in New York. He is buried in Saint Johns Lutheran Cemetery in Mohawk Hill, New York.^[2]

• Given the death date of his first wife, it would appear that his two children -- Magdelena and William were hers instead of Susanna's. -- Fiscus-32 23:49, 6 August 2022 (UTC)
