His will is dated 15 December 1807 and proved on 6 February 1809 in Stratford. He mentions his wife Sarah, and his children, William Edwards, Jr., Beach Edwards, Eben Edwards, Charre Shelton, Patience P. Beardslee, and Ruth Beardslee.^[1]

His inventory was completed on 3 April 1809 in Stratford.^[2]

In 1809, his estate distribution was set out to his widow, Sarah, Beach Edwards, William Edwards, Eben Edwards, Patience P. Beardslee, wife of Hubbard Beardslee, Charity Shelton, and Ruth Beardslee, wife of Elihu Beardslee.^[3]
