Sarah Jane Abbott, daughter of [[Abbott-14350|James C Abbott] and Lucy Barrett, was born in Packersfield [now Nelson], New Hampshire on Dec 25, 1832. [1] She is often called "Jennie S. "
She married first Galinas Thayer on April 25, 1850. [citation needed] He was a blacksmith.
In 1850 Sarah and Galinas Thayer lived in Nelson, New Hampshire in the household of her father James C. Abbott. [2]
