Isaac Caleb Abbott was born March 26, 1851 in Macon County, Missouri to Martin Hollister and Nancy Jane Buchanan Abbott. [1].
In the 1860 census which was taken at Walnut Creek, Macon County, Missouri the family included Martin Abbott and his third wife, Susan Bradley Abbott. Also listed are Martin's two children Isaac and Sarah Abbott.[2]

Isaac, at age 13, enlisted in the Union army in the Civil War as a drummer boy.

During the 1900 census the family was living in Drake Township, Macon County, Missouri.[4]
By the 1910 census the family had moved to Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana. Isaac was a farmer by occupation and moved his family in hopes of better and easier farm land.[5]
During the 1920 census the family is living in Yarwood, Lincoln County, Washington. [6]
Death
Isaac's wife, Martha Jane passed away on October 1, 1928 in Lincoln County, Washington.[7]
Isaac passed away on January 21, 1933 in Lincoln County, Washington. He was 82 years old. [8]
