Biography
Fortunato (Messod) Abecassis was born probably in 1799 in Tangier, Morroco. Messod had the folowing child:

He died on June 24, 1877 in Lisboa, Lisboa, Portugal
Messod was born in 1799. He passed away in 1877.
Was the first Abecassis to come to Portugal. Went to Ponta Delgada, Azores, later went to Lisbon with one of his sons, and died there. Travel frequently between the Azores islands, in 1828 was one of the founders of Sahar Hassamaim sinagogue in Ponta Delgada. In 1856 Almanach de Portugal is listed as a Ponta Delgada merchant.
