Biography

Birth & Baptism 1673 Nunkeeling

George was born in 1673 probably in the Bonwick farmstead in Nunkeeling parish, East Yorkshire. [1]

Marriage about 1695

George evidently married about 1695 in the Hornsea area as his first known child (also named George) was baptised in Nunkeeling in 1696. He surely must have remarried about 1719 as his last child, Jane, was baptised in 1726 (births spread over 30 years are surely too much for one wife in this period). Neither of these marriages are known by location or spouse.

Death 1726 or later

George baptised his last child in 1726 but it is possible that he lived on for another ten or even twenty years, No death or burial is on record.

Research

This is clearly NOT George Acklom of Bridlington whose children have similar names but different baptisms and careers.
