Biography

James Adams was born before 1687. He witnessed his parents' deed to John Shirley on 13 February 1701/02, by signing his mark. Colonial law required a witness to a deed to be age 14 or older, therefore he was born before 1687. He is the son of John Adams and Katherine Napier.
