Biography
George was born in about September 1850 in Donhead St Mary, Wiltshire. He was the son of William Adlem and Harriet (Gomer) Adlem.[1]
George was baptised on 13 October 1850 in Tollard Royal.[2]
On 30 March 1851 George was living in Ashgrove.[3]
On 7 April 1861 George was employed as an Agricultural Labourer.
On 7 April 1861 George was living in Lower Ashgrove, Cgarlton, Donhead St. Mary.[4]
George married Elizabeth Phyllis West in about March 1871 in Tisbury District. The couple had 5 children: Edwin Adlam, Sarah Jane Adlam, Martha Adlam, John William Adlam and George Adlam.[5]
On 2 April 1871 George was employed as a Labourer.
On 2 April 1871 George was living in Phillips Cottage, Donhead St. Mary.[6]
On 3 March 1872 George was employed as a Carter.[7]
On 3 April 1881 George was living in Beacon Hill Farm, Exton, Hants.[8]
On 3 April 1881 George was employed as a Carter (Agricultural).
On 5 April 1891 George was employed as a Dairyman.
On 5 April 1891 George was living in Doves Farm, West End, Southampton.[9]
On 31 March 1901 George was living in Cottages, Hound, St. Edward, Southampton.[10]
On 31 March 1901 George was employed as a Shepherd.
On 2 April 1911 George was employed as a General Labourer.
On 2 April 1911 George was living in The Hollies, Botley Road, Hound, Hants.[11]
George died in about June 1933 in Salisbury register.[12]
