Biography
The son of Miles West Agee (1886-1955) and Catherine Mae Paris (1886-1933), Carl Agee was born in Smith County, Tennessee[citation needed] in 1907, residing with his family in Civil District 7.[1][2] In 1930, their residence was enumerated as Hickman, Tennessee.[3]
Carl married Ava (Tolle) Agee, making their home together in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.[4] Carl enlisted in the Alabama Army National Guard, enlisting on September 16, 1940 and working as a clerk.[5] He served in the regular Army and was admitted to the military hospital at Camp Patrick Henry, Virginia due to a condition that existed before his enlistment, and received a disability discharge in October of 1943.[6] By 1950, Carl and Ava lived in Nashville, Tennessee, where Carl worked in a rayon factory, working in the dryer section.[7]
Carl Agee passed away at the age of of 93, residing last in Old Hickory, Tennessee,[8][9] and is buried at Hermitage Memorial Gardens in Old Hickory, Tennessee.[10]
