Biography
Note:It appears that George's full name was Frederick George, or George Frederick Ayles. On his Wedding Certificate his name is "Fredrich George", and on his Golden Wedding Celebration post in the Moreton Mail (Qld : 1886 - 1889), he is Mr "F. G.", then on the Funeral Notice he is "George Frederick"[1]. It is unclear what his Preferred Name was.
George Ahles was born on 16 September 1860 in Brisbane City, Queensland, Australia[2], son of Frederich Ahles and Jane Best and the brother of Ann Elizabeth (Ahles) Stephan, John Thomas Frederick Ahles, Mary Martha Ahles, William Charles Ahles, James David Ahles, Mary Jane Ahles, Kate (Ahles) Harrold, Annie Eleanor (Reginia) Ahles, Emmeline Louisa Sophia (Ahles) Anderson and James Theodore Ahles.
He married Jessie Topsy Ford on 15 May 1889 at the Hendra Baptist Church (Now Clayfield Baptist Church), Clayfield, Queensland, Australia[3][4].
George Frederick died on 18 May 1948 in Brisbane City, Queensland, Australia[5]and he was cremated at the Mt Thompson Crematorium, (Mt Thompson Memorial Gardens), Nursery Rd, Holland Park, QLD[6]. His wife Jessie died six weeks later, on 29 June 1948[7].

Ahles, of Albury Street, Deagon, will be entertained by their children and grandchildren today. Mr. and Mrs. Ahles were married on May 15, 1889, at the Hendra Baptist Church by the Rev. James Stuart and lived for many years at Clayfield, be fore moving to Deagon. Mr. Ahles is the eldest son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ahles, early pioneers of the Nudgee district. Mrs. Ahles' parents were Mr. and Mrs. T. B. Ford, early settlers at Rush Creek, Dayboro. The couple have two surviving daughters, Mrs. E. Marsden and Mrs. C. R. Hamilton, and one son, Mr. G. G. Ahles. They also have six grandchildren. The wedding cake was made by an old friend, Mrs. F. O. Hayter, of Middle Creek Pomona. Mrs. Ahles' two sisters, Mesdames D McLennan (Clayfield) and F. Bond (Toombul) and brother T. B. Ford (Clayfield), were present at the wed ding, together with Mr. Ahles' sisters, Mrs. K. Harrold and Miss N. Ahles, both of Sandgate."
