According to his wife's widow's pension application, Daniel married Mary F. Link on 20 April 1859 in Baltimore, Maryland; he was killed in action during the Civil War on 6 February 1865.[1] The couple had four children, but all four had died by August 1865 when Mary applied for the pension.
