Biography
Caroline was born about 1831.[1]
Caroline emigrated to New Zealand aboard the 'Maori' leaving Gravesend on 23 March 1858, arriving at Lyttelton on 14th July.[2][3]
She married Joseph Snell in 1859.[4] Children: Stillborn daughter (1860), Joseph Algernon (1864-1952), Ada (1867-1868).
Caroline was a dressmaker and milliner, with premises on Oxford Terrace in Christchurch. [5]
She passed away in 1873[6][7] and is buried in Barbadoes Street Cemetery, Christchurch.[8]
