On July 13, 1916, Lillie married Walter Abram Cockram in Floyd County, Virginia. Her parent's names are listed as G.T. Alderman and Eliza J.[1]
In 1930, Lillie was living with her husband on their farm in Smith River, Virginia in Patrick County. Also living in the household was Wilma A. Harris. They took her in and raised her after her mother's death. Though the census shows Wilma's last name as Cockram, I do not believe she was officially adopted.[2]
