Biography

John Aldin was the son of John Aldin and wife Frances Williamson. His 28 July 1716 birth and 26 August baptism were recorded in the Christ Church Parish Register at Middlesex County, Virginia.^[1] He was named in the will of his father dated 23 February 1726, proved 2 May 1727 in Middlesex Court.^[2]

His own will was dated 10 Dec 1746 per a later suit filed in a Court of Chancery in Middlesex County by his daughter Frances and husband Lewis Dudley against the executor of his executor, Edward Dillard (his brother-in-law), his widow Jane and husband William Meacham, and minor son John Aldin. ^[3]
