Biography

In 1900, the Robinson family lived in Cedar Rapids, Boone, Nebraska. The household included George A Robinson, 54, born July 1846 in Indiana, whose father was b. KY, and his mother was b. SC; his wife of 30 years, Elmira C., 50, b. Ohio in March 1851, f. b. VT, m.b. Ohio. They had had seven children, five of whom were living; their son, Diver L., 20, b. Nebraska in July 1880; their daughter Dolly T., 11, b. May 1889 in NE; and two married daughters, and their young sons: Anice F. Woodyard, 24, b. NE in June 1876. Anice had been married one year, and had one child (apparently from a previous marriage); her son Guy A. Aldrich, 6, b. NE in May 1894, whose father was b. VT; Minnie M. Paine, 18, b. NE in Dec 1882, who had been married one year, with one child; Harry Paine, a newborn, whose father was b. WI. Their husbands were not listed on this Census. ^[1]

By 1910, Anice had had two children with, and divorced Jason Woodyard.

In 1910, Anice Woodyard lived in Pomona, Los Angeles, California. The household included Anice, 34, born Nebraska, divorced, mother of three, working as an orange packer. She owned their home, on 39th St. between Resivoiur and East End, with a mortgage; her three children, Guy Aldrich, 16, b. NE, in school; Veda Woodyrd, 8, b. IA, in school; and Vera Woodyard, 4, b. CA. Vera and Veda’s father was b. Ohio. ^[2]

On January 15, 1917 in Pomona, California, Guy registered for the WWI Draft. He was 23, single, and lived on 9th Street in Pomona. Guy worked as a Nailer for the Pomona Fruit Growers Assn., Pomona. He was of medium height, slender, with blue eyes and red hair. He was born 1 May 1894 in Cedar Rapids, Nebraska. Guy claimed his mother and sister as dependents. ^[3]

Guy married Effie Jewel Russell on 10 January 1920 in Chino, Butte, California. Effie was born 3 April 1899 in Marysville, Marshall, Kansas, the daughter of Clinton and Maria (Watkins) Russell. Guy payed away on 10 December 1965 in Whittier, Los Angeles, California. ^[4]

Ancil G. Aldrich was born 1 May 1894 in Nebraska. He died 10 December 1965 in Los Angeles County, California. His mother was Robinson. ^[5]
