Allen, 89, of Eagle Street, Amsterdam, died Tuesday at Montgomery Meadows. CONT Born June 16, 1909, in Amsterdam, she was the daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth Carr Allen. She was a lifelong area resident, a 1927 graduate of St. Mary's Institute, and also graduated from Reynolds Business School. CONT She was employed by the Bigelow Sanford Carpet Co. as a cost accountant, lalter working for Mohasco Industries in the data processing department, retireing in 1974. CONT She was a member of St. Mary's Church and its Rosary Society. CONT Survivors include two brothers, Alexander Allen of Cobleskill and Richard Allen of Port Richey, Fla.; four sisters, Catherine Lawrence, Florence Insogna, and Rita Allen, all of Amsterdam, and Patricia Patrimicola of Scotia; nieces and nephew.
