Biography
Henry Allen S.T.C.D. a member of the Irish Bar. He was admitted to the Bar in 1812.[1] He married Eliza in 1813.[2]
Research Notes
There is a baptism of a Henry Allen in Ballyhay, Cork on 7th August, 1761. Could this be his father? On this baptism or 1761 it shows the father as John Allen.
Henry and Eliza had a son that died and was buried in Charleville, Cork which is adjacent to Ballyhay, Cork. There are several other Allen family members from this Ballyhay area. It seems possible that this John Burgess Allen is another child of Henry and Eliza.
Some research which was started by a Wing Commander Dermott Lang Allen (b. 12 July 1890) of Eastbourne, England, (son of Robert Allen), and continued by Jack Allen (b.28 July 1918) in New Zealand suggests their may possibly be a link to (Joseph b. 1811, d. 1884, m. Jane Hall), son of Joseph Allen (m June Horsford), son of William Allen, (m. Mary Belle in 1787 at Moy Allen Quaker Meeting House)
