In June, 1900, John, a 12 year old schoolboy, was living on the farm in Harrison Township, Norton County, Kansas with his parents George and Maria Allen, and siblings Herbert, Freddie, Lillie, and Marcellus. [1]{See Research Note below for details}
John served in World War I as a Private from Colorado. He was in the 134th Infantry Regiment in the 35th Division. [2]
It is not known at this time if John married and/or had any children.
John passed away at the age of 61 on March 2, 1949 in Byers, Colorado.
He was buried in Byers Cemetery in Byers, Colorado. [2]
