Nehemiah Allen was born on October 10, 1757 in Bridgeport, Fairfield, Connecticut Colony, British Colonial America, son of Nehemiah Allen (1729–1810) and Edra Wheeler (1735–>1809).[1]

Nehemiah married Mary Pearsall in October 1779 in New York, United States.[2] Two of their children were:
