Biography
Adelia Maria Ames was born on 20 Feb 1823 in Colchester, Chittenden, Vermont, USA to parents William Ames and Mary "Polly" Brownell. She was the 7th of 8 children. Siblings were Sereno B (1805-1878), George F (1807-1878), Caroline Ames Sackett (1810-1908), Eliza Ames Tompkins (1813-1902), Alson Ladon (1818-1900), Harriet A Ames Sears (1820-1877, and Aaron S (1827-1917).[1] "Link to FindaGrave Memorial # 35882420"
She married Daniel Thomas Olney in 1843 in Boone County, IL.[2]
Their three children were: Marietta Olney Witbeck (1844-1929), Arthur Ringold Olney (1846-1936), and Clara Olney Phillips (1858-1913). [3] "Link to FindaGrave Memorial # 35882420" Clara predeceased her mother in death.[4]

- I can find no proof for this city and county but U.S. census 1850-1860-1870-1880-1900 and 1910 substantiate Vermont.
