On October 2, 1849, he married Louisa Jane Bassett (1827-1917) in Harrison County, Kentucky. They had at least eight children.
Wesley died April 8, 1877 in Bourbon County aged 51. He was buried at Battle Grove Cemetery, Cynthiana, Harrison County, Kentucky, USA.[1]
