Anders Olsen is recorded as an immigrant from Eda parish, Värmland, Sweden arriving in Norway in 1871.[1] Anders Olsen is recorded in census records from 1875, 1891, 1900 and 1910 in Stor-Elvdal, Hedmark, as a timber-driver.[2] The first children are born at Taraldhaugen under Trønnes farm, where the couple is also lodging 1875. From about 1891 the family is recorded at S. Viengen, which is a shieling (seter) under Trønnes. Note that the YoB differs with one year between the immigration record and census of 1910. The earlier record has been adopted.
Married on 8 Jun 1873 to Juliane Severinsdatter from Løyten, Hedemark.[3] Children:
Ole (b. 1 Jan 1874), m. to Karen Karenusdatter Sollien[4]
Born on September 26, 1846 in Eda in Värmland according to marriage record. There is indeed an Anders Olsson born in Eda parish on that date. He was the only son of Olof Hansson and Karin Månsdotter, and he moved to Norway in 1872.[9]
