Biography

Birth and Parentage

Maria Deane Anderson was born in about 1835, the daughter of William George Anderson of Sligo, Ireland and his wife, Maria née Deane, of Gloucester, England. She was named after her mother.

Marriage and Family

She married William James Anderson in Cape Town, South Africa.[1] William James was from a Scottish Anderson family, from current knowledge. His father, also called William Anderson, was one of the 1820 Settlers

She died in Paddington, London in March 1887 and was buried on 12 March 1887 in St Marylebone Cemetery.[11]
