Almon was born about 1816. He was the son of Darius Andrews and Keziah Caswell. He passed away in 1886.

In 1877, the town of Canton tried to establish a legal settlement for Charles Andrews through his father Almon. Not finding one, they moved back a generation to his grandfather Darius.
