Cornelius Andrews was born about 1829 in East Haddam, Middlesex, Connecticut, United States, son of Julius Andrews (abt. 1788–abt. 1869) and Hope (Mack) Andrews (1792–1858).[1]

In the 1850 census Cornelius (age 21) was in East Haddam, Middlesex, Connecticut, United States.[2]

Cornelius married Lucretia (Smith) Andrews (born in Oct 1829 in LeRoy, Genesee, New York, United States; daughter of Samuel Smith II and Priscilla (Clark) Smith). Their known children were:

  2. Ascenath P. Andrews (abt. 1862– )
  3. Ona Andrews (abt. 1867– )
  4. Franklin A. Andrews (1874–1928)

In the 1880 census Cornelus (age 51), Engineer, was the married head of household in East Haddam, Middlesex, Connecticut, United States.[6]

Cornelius died on 16 Dec 1893 in Middletown, Middlesex, aged about 63. He was buried in Mount Parnassus Burying Ground, East Haddam, Middlesex County, Connecticut.[1]
