John Appleyard was born to Edward Appleyard and Unknown Mother in about 1790. John was baptised on the 15 Oct 1791 in Haworth, Yorkshire, England but for some reason his baptism record shows his father's name as Edmund rather than the expected Edward[1].
John Appleyard passed away in 1860.
There is an issue with the Baptism record showing the father as Edmund rather than the expected Edward as shown in this profile. Looking at a copy of the original record on Ancestry (https://search.ancestry.co.uk/cgi-bin/sse.dll?indiv=1&dbid=2256&h=10561318&tid=&pid=&usePUB=true&_phsrc=VFI1&_phstart=successSource) it definitely names Edmund as the father so it is not a transcription error. From the baptism record we can see that the Mother's Name is Mary but we do not have her family name. However searching marriage records there is a record for an Edmund Appleyard marrying a Mary Wood on the 3rd Dec 1788 in Howarth, Yorkshire England which would be a suitable date for John's birth. This leads to the conclusion that John's father's name is likely to be Edmund Appleyard and not Edward Appleyard.
