Biography
Infanta doña Dulce de Aragón was probably the youngest daughter of Alfonso II King of Aragón and his wife Sancha de Castilla and was born about 1192.[1] ,[2] .
She became a nun in the Monastery of Sijena,[1] which her mother had founded and where she lived out her last years.[3] . Later Dulce was appointed Commander (Comendadora) of the Order of St John,[4]
She died about 1240[1] and is probably buried in the Monastery of Sijena.
Research Notes
In Salazar y Acha's book she is listed as born about 1190 (nacida hacia 1190), but the sister listed above her was born about 1192.[1] I've taken this as a typographical error and transposed the dates. The Wikipedia article for her father also cited above has Dulce's birth date as 1192.
