Tessie was born 10 Aug 1897 in Marietta, Pickens, Chickasaw Nation, Indian Territory[2], the daughter of Jefferson Arbuckle and Caroline Martin. Tessie passed away in Jun 1978 in Oklahoma.
The sources listed from the “Oklahoma Applications for Allotment, Five Civilized Tribes, 1899-1907” show the Oklahoma and Indian Territory, Land Allotment Jacket for Five Civilized Tribes, application for allotment affidavit, Choctaw Citizenship Certificate. [3][4][5]
Research Notes
There are two Find a Grave memorials for Tessie. One for Arlington Memory Gardens, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma County, Oklahoma[6] and one in Woodberry Forest Cemetery, Madill, Marshall County, Oklahoma[7]. Tessie and Hampton divorced which makes it unlikely they were buried next to each other as Hampton remarried in 1934.
