from the NewspaperArchive.com source: Augusta Shoddy(Special to the Times)GRIFFITH, Ind., Jan. 2 - Mrs. Augusta Shoddy passed away Monday morning at 9:40, December 31. She has been in poor health for the past four years and bed___ for the past year and a half, during which she suffered greatly.Mrs. Shoddy was born in Germany on Nov. 7, 1864. She came to this country when two years of age. She was married to Henry Shoddy in 1891 which preceded her in death in August 1919.Funeral services will be held at the home, Thursday morning at 9 o'clock, burial will be at San Pierre which will be made by auto.
