Biography

Simon Peter Arnspiger, son of John Arnspiger and Katharine (Funk) Arnspiger, was born on 8 October 1824 in Jessamine County, Kentucky.[1]

He married Rachel Bell, daughter of Nathaniel Bell and Mary (Thompkins) Bell, on 16 September 1849 at Jerseyville, Jersey County, Illinois.[2][1]

He was a farmer when he and Rachel appeared on the census of 10 September 1850 in the home of her parents at Township 9 Range 10, Jersey County, Illinois.[3] He was a farmer when he and Rachel appeared on the census of 3 August 1860 at Washington County, Oregon.[4]

Simon died on 12 July 1886 at Harrisburg, Linn County, Oregon and was buried at Alford Cemetery, Harrisburg, Linn County, Oregon. His memorial has photos and links to those of family members.[1]
