Fred Arrington age 81, died Tuesday, August 29, 2006, in Clayton, New Mexico.
Graveside Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, September 2, at the Clayton Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Billy Rammage, pastor of the First Baptist Church in Clayton, officiating. Services are by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton, New Mexico.
Fred Arrington was born on July 4, 1925, in Rogers, Arkansas to George Alford Arrington and Emily Kate (Gorman) Arrington. A lifelong resident of Clayton, New Mexico, Fred served in the US Navy during WWII. He returned to Clayton in December of 1945 and married Betty Jo Smith on January 8, 1946 in Clayton, New Mexico. He worked for several years as a truck driver before working for Ethridge and McClure’s as a mechanic. He then operated his own business as a mechanic for several years before he retired. In addition to his parents, Fred was preceded in death by 1 daughter Dorothy Arrington on March 31, 1996 and by 4 brothers, David Frank Arrington, Billy Glen Arrington, James Lester Arrington and George Alford Arrington.

WIFE: Betty Jo Arrington of Clayton, New Mexico.
1 SON: John Alfred Arrington of Amarillo, Texas.
2 BROTHERS: Oscar Arrington and his wife Lou of Denver, Colorado and Robert Henry Arrington and his wife Doris of Rocky Mountain, North Carolina.
1 SISTER: Lillie Ann Bankston of Denver, Colorado.
3 SISTERS-IN-LAW: Eloise Arrington of Clayton, New Mexico, Wilma Arrington of Antlers, Oklahoma and Marilyn Arrington of Denver, Colorado.
