Biography

Theodora or Theodoria Ash was the daughter of Samuel Ash of Charles Town, Province of South Carolina. She was either the daughter of his first wife Katherine Clements (d. 1730) or his second wife Elizabeth Burt (d. 1734). She is named in her father's 1736 Will.^[1]

She had married Jonanthan Frampton before January 1760, when she is called Theodora Frampton in the Will of her aunt Theodora Ashe Edings.^[2]. Jonathan Frampton made his Will on 9 April 1761, and it was proved 29 July 1763. He leaves bequests to his wife Theodoria and daughters Mary and Hepsibah Frampton.^[3]

Theodora Frampton, widow, married John Simmons on 5 April 1764 in Charles Town.^[4]
