Biography

Arianna was born in 1826. She was the daughter of Thomas Auld and Lucretia Anthony. She passed away in 1878.

Research notes

Amanda was a member of the Auld family who owned the famous abolitionist Frederick (Bailey) Douglass as a slave. She became an anti-slavery advocate, who met Douglass again in 1957 when he was lecturing.[1]
