Biography

Jack Delano Aure was born on September 3, 1942, in Flint, Michigan, the son of Martin. He married Diane Nichols on June 30, 1964, in his hometown. They had one child during their marriage. He died on September 19, 2012, in Caro, Michigan, at the age of 70.

2012 Sep 21, Friday, Tuscola County Advertiser Jack Delano Aure, 70 Died Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at McLaren-Lapeer Regional, at the age of 70. The funeral service will take place Monday, Sept 24, 2012 at 1 pm at Martin Funeral Home, with cremation to follow. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-6pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family. Jack was born September 3, 1942 in Flint, the son of Martin and Joy (Lunde) Aure. Locally education, he graduated from Flint Central High School before going to college to earn his business degree. In 1958, Jack joined the Marines and proudly served his country for four years while serving a full tour in Vietnam. He would later become a dealer at the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas before starting his 32 year long career at General Motors. Throughout his life, Jack had many hobbies and interests including trains, golfing with his friends, bowling, playing pool with his grandson, playing cards and dice, and watching wrestling and “Quincy the Medical Examiner” on TV. Jack also enjoyed spending time with his best companion, Dooley, his dog, nitpicking, telling jokes and spending time with friends and family.

Left to cherish his memory are mother, Joy Aure; friend Diane DeNike; daughter, Kalyn and husband Michael Aure; grandchildren Kraig, Tyler and Delilah; brothers, Dale and wife Laurie Aure and Jerry Burkland; uncle, Manford; niece, Malisa; sister-in-law, Rene’e Tilley; best friend, Roger and several nieces and nephews and one great-nephew. He was preceded in death by his father; son, Craig Aure; brother, Larry Aure; granddaughter, Keira DeNike and nephew, John Aure.
