Biography

Michael Anthony Austin age 56 passed away December 29, 2015 at his home. He was born April 6, 1959 in Chester County, the son of the late Robert Edgar and Dorothy Sue Climer Austin.

He attended Chester County Schools. He was a heavy equipment operator in underground construction having worked for Whaley Construction, as a supervisor. He had owned a business with his father, Austin Backhoe.

He is survived by a son, Chad Austin of Henderson; two step daughters, Heather Barnes and Judy Farley both of Jackson; a brother, Billy Austin and wife Shannon of Henderson; a sister, Bonnie Cox and husband Kenneth, Jr. of Henderson and a granddaughter, Addy Austin.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Thursday, December 31, 2015 at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Casey Chapel with Ken Frye and Ken Kitchen officiating. Burial will follow in Pisgah Cemetery.
