Jane Westgarth nee Bainbridge died 9 Nov 1799 in Stanhope, age from burial record, and memorial inscription given as 24. ^[6]

There is some circumstantial evidence that Jane (Westgarth) Bainbridge was the daughter of Nicholas and Mary Thompson. On 11 Apr 1816 Joseph Bainbridge (1789-1831), son of Nicholas and Mary Thompson married Mary (Vipond) Bainbridge (1793-) in Stanhope 11 Apr 1816 Joseph Bainbridge married Mary Vipond, both of this parish, by banns Witnesses: Joseph Vipond, Mary Westgarth .

Mary Westgarth (1797-1861), the daughter of John Westgarth and Jane Bainbridge married Joseph Vipond, 27 May 1820 Joseph Vipond married Mary Westgarth, both of this parish, by banns Witnesses: Thomas Collingwood; Jane Westgarth Joseph Vipond (1798-1842) was a brother of the above Mary Vipond.
