Hubert "Hugh" Baird was born on 19 October 1858 in Hillier, Prince Edward County, Canada West.

Hugh married Ella Jane Menzies on 23 January 1889 in Sarnia, Ontario, Canada.

He died after 1921, probably in Ontario.

Notes

Most records call him Hugh, even as early as the 1861 when he was 3. But the 1881 census says Hubert; his marriage record shows Hubert crossed out, replaced by Hugh; and he had a son named Hubert. All these suggest that was probably his proper name.
