RESEARCH NOTES On the FAG site this information is posted:
THIS IS DIFFICULT TO SORT OUT, all four sons of Ann Lou (Baker) Stafford have the name of James Ray Stafford as the father on the birth certificate, 1951, 1957, 1959, and 1962. Smith-157141 02:59, 17 July 2020 (UTC)
It is possible that James Ray adopted William, and Eddie, sons of whomever, Lloyd being his own son. I do not discount this possibility. I did not find any marriage record in TEXAS for Anna Lou and any of the three men. It will take more research to discover the facts.
WE APPLY HERE Occam's razor (or Ockham's razor) -- a principle from philosophy. Suppose there exist two explanations for an occurrence. In this case the one that requires the least speculation is usually better. Another way of saying it is that the more assumptions you have to make, the more unlikely an explanation.
I do not create a profile for Arthur Westmann nor one for Billy Leandas Evans. I do not assign William, Eugene and Eddie to either man. I leave them as sons of James Ray Stafford, as shown in the "Texas Birth Index".
