) Find a Grave Notes: "Hiram Baker, living at the corner of Sixth and Elm street, died this morning at eight o'clock from old age and nervous trouble. The deceased had been a resident of this city for the last thirteen years and was formerly engaged in carpenter business but of late had not been able to do much of anything. He was confined to his bed for the last month. He is eighty-one years old and leaves his wife and two step-daughters to mourn his loss, one living in Minnesota and the other being Mrs. Dudley of this city. The funeral will take place Thursday afternoon at two o'clock from the First M. E. church. Citation: Grand Island (Nebraska) Daily Independent, Tuesday, 21 January 1902, page 3. "
