He married Alma Elnora (Mundell) Baker on 22 April 1908, in Lucas, Iowa, United States. [2] They were the parents of 2 sons and 1 daughter. He lived in Jackson Township, Lucas, Iowa, United States for about 30 years. He registered for military service in 1917. He died on 17 January 1974, in Chariton, Lucas, Iowa, United States, at the age of 87, [3] and was buried in Goshen Baptist Cemetery, Lucas, Lucas, Iowa, United States. [4]

BAKER
Carl E. Baker, son of John and Lavina Baker, was born in Lucas County, Iowa, on April 10, 1886, and passed away at the Chariton Manor on January 17, 1974, at the age of 87 years, 8 months and 6 days.
Carl spent his entire life in and around Lucas. He was united in marriage to Alma Mundell on April 22, 1908, and to this union three children were born. Early in their married life, they united with the Goshen Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife; one daughter, who died in infancy; a son, Raymond; his parents, three sisters and three brothers, including his twin brother, Charley.
He leaves to mourn his passing his daughter and son-in-law, Roberta and Robert Sanford of Marysville, Wash.; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Albert and Irene Baker of Lucas and Noah Baker of Chariton; and a host of relatives and friends. He made friends wherever he went.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. J. Edward Quick at 2 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 19, at the Fielding Funeral Home. Interment was in the Goshen Cemetery.
