Biography
John was born on 18 February 1864 in Dreghorn Ayr Scotland UK. He was the son of John Balfour and Mary (Little) Balfour.[1]
In 1871 John, age 7, was the son of John Ballour in No 21 West Thornton Fat Row, Dreghorn, Ayrshire. He was a Scholar.[2]
In 1881 John, age 17, was the son of John Balfour at 4 Annbank, Tarbolton, Ayrshire. He was a Coal-Miner.[3]
John Balfour married Grace Douglas in 1887. Their marriage was registered in Tarbolton.[4]
In 1891 John, age 27, was the head of household at 46, Tarbolton, Ayrshire. He was a Coal Miner.[5]
In 1901 John, age 37, was the head of household at 22 Annbank, Tarbolton, Ayrshire. He was a Coal Miner.[6]
