Biography

Graduated as a master of ship from Horsens. Emigrated to Australia and worked as a master of a ship and later as a farmer in Australia and New Zealand. Married 1878 Alice Angelina Roberts. Buried Waikaraka Cemetary, Auckland.

Charles got his master's ticket from the Marine Board of Victoria, Australia. He captained the brig Maggie and its replacement, the barquentine Silver Cloud (from March 1877). Both owned by J. H. Vautier of Napier, New Zealand.
