Biography

Frederick Baltz (likely born Friedrich Balz) was born in Germany.

There is a passenger record of a Frederick Baltz arriving Baltimore in 1848.

Frederick Balz married Amalie "Amelia" Mauch (1835-1940) on 8 Feb 1854 in Wayne County, Michigan.[1] Their children were:

  1. Mary F. (Baltz) Haehnle (1855–1940)[2]
  2. William Baltz (1859– )

Frederick passed away 4 years after Mary was born, so about 1859, likely in Jackson, Michigan (although Mary was born in Detroit).[3]

Notes

Since son's name is William, one might guess his father's LNAB was Wilhelm Friedrich Balz in Germany.
