Biography
Leonardo was born in 1845 to Don Michele Barbera, a government employee, and Donna Anna Digiuseppe [1]. He may have married (1) Rosa Liotta in 1884; there were no children of this marriage born in Santa Margarita.
He married (2) Maria Montalbano of Montevago in 1888. Of their 5 known children, only one lived to maturity. He was alive as late as 1896 as a child was born in Apr 1897.
Research Notes
Marriage to Rosa Liotta is questionable. My research notes indicate such a marriage but now source cannot be found. May have been an error. Coleman-10547 14:13, 8 April 2024 (UTC)
