Mary Magaline Barbour was born about 1875 in Autauga County, Alabama, the daughter of Marion Austin Barbour and Matilda Barbour.^[1]

She married Samuel Mathew Cook on 17 Dec 1891 in Autauga County. They had these children:

1. Willie Coleman Cook, born 24 Aug 1900 in Autauga County, Alabama, died 20 Jan 1957 in Montgomery, Montgomery County, Alabama; married Chloe Bell Meeks.
2. Rev. Joseph Alonzo Cook, born 20 Mar 1902 in Autauga County, died 7 Apr 1979 in Elmore County, Alabama; married Susie Myrtle Bowden.
